CBC Jail Ministry

CBC partners with Transforming Jail Ministries by sponsoring a Worship Team that visits Hamilton County Jails to minister to incarcerated men and women every third Sunday of the month. We share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are locked up and offer them hope and encouragement. Each month provides an opportunity to seek and save the lost and to show the love of Christ to men and women in need.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care."  Psalm 95:6-7

Drama Ministry

The Drama Ministry’s goal is bringing God’s Word to life through visual interpretation, by incorporating the spoken word, musical instruments, song and dance.  Our material is comprised from original compositions from members of CBC & copy written productions brought forth under the Divine direction of the Holy Spirit.  Our casts range from toddlers/beginners up to and including our elders.  Generally, the presentations are centered on Easter, Christmas and special church events (i.e. Pastor’s Anniversary & the Family Life Conference.

The Production side of the Drama Ministry is a small, dedicated group with talents ranging from designing & building sets/props; designing and sewing costumes; composing presentation material; recruiting the cast; directing & producing.  We work closely with the Audio Visual Ministry for sound, lighting, recording, and technical support.  The Drama Ministry welcomes members interested in utilizing their creative gifts in front of an audience or behind the scenes.

Youth Church

Corinthian encourages our young people to develop a personal relationship with God at an early age.  Our Young Disciples ministries provide the children, teens, and young adults with opportunities to study the Word, service God, and encourage with one another.  All members working with children & teens have gone through a National Criminal background check.

And Jesus said to them: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. ~ Mark 16:15

I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me’ Matthew 25:36-40 ESV.

Health

Health Ministry

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. ~ I Corinthians 6:19 & 20

The Health Ministry assist CBC members by providing information that will help to glorify God in our bodies and to keep us safe while we worship Him.

The Health Ministry encourages CBC members to lead a healthy lifestyle through proper eating, exercise, and consulting with their health provider.  Workshops and health fairs are held periodically throughout the year. On a monthly basis health professionals from among the congregation provide blood pressure screenings for the membership. Such help and information aids CBC members as we glorify God in our bodies and keeping safe while worshiping.

Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement Ministry was birthed through the love of Christ with a commitment of caring, compassion, and support for those who have had loved ones pass away. The goal is to meet the needs of those in our Church family through listening, groups, education, experience, and resources and assist them during the grief process.

While those who have suffered a loss may be comforted in knowing that God will never leave them or forsake them in their time of bereavement it does not lessen the pain one feels when a loved has died.

Connect

God has equipped each member with unique gifts, talents, and abilities. His desire is that each member utilize their unique abilities in their local church so that the Body of Christ can function in unity. CBC encourages all of its members to take a faith step and become involved in ministry. God directed you to CBC because you have something special that we need.

We look forward to you connecting to one of our many ministries.

"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully" Romans 12:4-8.
